Cheese and Bacon Quiche Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust You can use Homemade Pie Crust!
  • 1 cup ham Diced. Leave this out or use another type of smoked meat if you have something on hand.
  • 4 slices bacon chopped
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and black pepper. You can add as much or as little pepper as you want, depending on your tastes.
  2. In another bowl, toss the cheese and flour together.
  3. Place the ham (if you are using it), and bacon in the bottom of the pie crust. Top with the cheese/flour mixture.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the top slowly, so that it has time to sink in. Place the pie on a cookie sheet (just in case it overflows in the oven!) and bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes.
  5. The middle of the quiche should no longer be jiggly when it's done baking. Remove from the oven and let it cool for at least 20 minutes before serving so it can finish setting up

Recipe Notes

If you aren't ready to eat the quiche right away, cover the dish and set it in the fridge until ready to serve. It will last for a couple of days in the fridge.
